MEET-SPECIFIC INFORMATION

DIRECTIONS TO CARVER-HAWKEYE ARENA

From Interstate 80: Follow I-80 to Exit 242 (First Avenue). Turn onto First Avenue (right from east bound, left from west bound). Follow First Avenue to the Highway 6 intersection. At the stoplight, turn left onto Highway 6 and continue until you get to the Hawkins Drive intersection. Turn right onto Hawkins Drive and Carver-Hawkeye Arena will be on your left.

From Eastern Iowa Airport (Cedar Rapids, IA): Exit the Airport by turning right onto Wright Brothers Boulevard SW. Turn right to enter I-380 South. Follow I-380 to I-80 East (Exit 0A). Continue on I-80 East until Exit 242 (First Avenue). Take Exit 242 and turn right on First Avenue. Follow First Avenue to the Highway 6 intersection. At the stoplight, turn left onto Highway 6 and continue until you get to the Hawkins Drive intersection. Turn right onto Hawkins Drive and Carver-Hawkeye Arena will be on your left.

PARKING

Men's Basketball Parking Map

General public parking is available in the Finkbine Commuter lot (Lot 65) and the Kinnick Stadium lots (Lot 43N, 43W, 43NW), as well as in all parking ramps near Carver-Hawkeye Arena. These are shown in blue on the map above. The rate for parking in surface lots is $5 for each vehicle, while parking ramps will charge the hourly rate.

ADA parking is located in the west end of the Dental lot (Lot 40, shown in red on parking map) across the street from the south entrance of Carver-Hawkeye Arena. The rate for ADA parking is $5 per vehicle and must be accompanied by a state-issued ADA parking placard.

Reserved pre-paid parking for I-Club contributors is located in Lot 46 (west of Carver-Hawkeye Arena), Lot 40 and Lot 33 (east of Carver-Hawkeye Arena), and Lot 75 (south of Carver-Hawkeye Arena), which are shown in gold on the above map. Lot-specific parking passes are required for these reserved lots.

Complimentary parking is available in at the Hancher Auditorium lot, which offers complimentary shuttle service that runs 90 minutes pre-game through 60 minutes post-game.

**Please note that lot availabilities and assignments may change for games occurring on Friday nights prior to home Football games, as well as on days where both Men's and Women's basketball will play. Please visit www.hawkeyesports.com the week of these games for specific information.

ADA Seating
Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all University of Iowa-sponsored events. Please send a note with your ticket application to inform the Athletics Ticket Office of special seating needs.

Will Call
General Will Call ticket window is located at the Athletics Ticket Office located in the North vestibule.

DUPLICATE TICKET POLICY

The Athletics Ticket Office will only replace season tickets and single game/meet tickets purchased through the University of Iowa Athletic Ticket Office. This service is only available to the individual who initially purchased the ticket.

Persons guilty of drunkenness or possessing or drinking intoxicants in the Arena will be ejected without refund.

CARTER-HAWKEYE ARENA INFORMATION

ATM
Located on the South concourse, near section K.

Concessions
Concession stands are available all around the concourse. Ice Cream and pizza are available on the northwest and southeast sides of the concourse.

Customer Service
Customer service staff will be located inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena at all four entrances. Look for the "Information" booths and the staff members wearing lime green apparel. They will be ready and waiting to assist you with your game day questions so you can enjoy cheering on the Hawkeyes to victory!

Doors Open
Doors at the North, South, East, and West entrances will open 90 minutes prior to start time.

Elevator
Located in the north vestibule.

Emergencies and Medical Services
Game Day Text Messaging: Fans can report issues with their neighbors in Carver-Hawkeye Arena by sending a text message to UI officials requesting their need for assistance. The text should be sent to 69050, then type the word IOWA followed by the issue and the location. The text message is received by UI staffers, who will dispatch the appropriate response. Inappropriate or prank texts will be reported to the proper authorities.

Lost Patrons: If you are lost or need to report a lost patron, please notify the nearest University Police, security officer or usher.

Medical services are available at all UI events and First Aid is available near section EE. If you need medical assistance, notify the nearest University Police officer, ticket taker or usher. If you have health problems or anticipate any special needs, please contact the UI Athletics Department at (319) 335-9247.

Merchandise
Merchandise items can be purchased from three Herky's Locker Room locations on the concourse near sections C, M, and FF.

Prohibited Items
The following items are NOT allowed inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena, admission will be denied to anyone carrying such items:

  • Alcoholic beverages
    • Persons guilty of drunkenness or possessing or drinking intoxicants in the Arena will be ejected without refund.
  • Banners and signs
  • Coolers, canned or bottled beverages
  • Noisemakers or any other disruptive device
  • Outside food
  • Tobacco of any kind
  • Thermoses
  • Seat backs
  • Strollers
  • Weapons of any kind
All items will be searched. Purses and bags larger than 8 1/2 in. x 11 in. will be thoroughly searched (items removed) at specific entrances which will delay admittance to the Arena. Patrons are also subject to search. The University reserves the right to refuse entry and /or reserves the right to eject anyone not adhering to Arena policies. Persons guilty of drunkenness or possessing or drinking intoxicants in the Arena will be ejected without refund.

Restrooms
Men's and women's restrooms are located throughout the concourse. Family restrooms are located on the concourse near sections DD and EE.
