The University of Iowa Athletics Department seeks applications for an Assistant Women’s Golf Coach.  This is a 12-month, part-time position and includes University benefits.


Responsibilities:  Assist the Head Coach in the management and coaching of a Division I women’s golf program.  This includes but is not limited to, assisting with operations management (e.g. budget, camps, public relations, fund raising, travel arrangements), recruiting (domestic and international), conducting individual and team practice, and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.


Required qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent.  Coaching and/or playing experience at the NCAA Division I level; demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules and a commitment to adhere to all rules and regulations of the University of Iowa, the Big Ten Conference and the NCAA; superior communication skills, effective organizational, administrative and public relations skills; demonstrated experience working effectively in a diverse environment.


Preferred qualifications:  Experience coaching and instructing female athletes; minimum of one year collegiate coaching experience; experience in recruiting international players.  Preference will be given to candidates that can most effectively meet the recruiting and development needs of the women’s golf program.
