HEAD STRENGTH & CONDITIONING COACH FOR MEN'S AND WOMEN'S BASKETBALL & OLYMPIC SPORTS

The University of Iowa is seeking qualified applicants for Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for Men's and Women's Basketball and Olympic sports.

Responsibilities: Develop and conduct the strength and conditioning programs for men's and women's basketball and oversee the management and administration of all other Olympic sports strength and conditioning programs, which includes personnel and financial management of unit. Liaison with appropriate sport coaching and Sports Medicine staffs; supervise the evaluation of player development; review injury records and consult with team athletic trainers as necessary; evaluate nutritional supplements; provide a safe environment in which the student-athletes can train; communicate with potential student-athletes during visits to the University of Iowa campus. Adhere to the rules and regulations of the University, the Big Ten Conference and the NCAA.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) required. Other required qualifications include: National Strength and Conditioning Association-Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA-CSCS) certification; excellent knowledge of the techniques and programs necessary for a successful sport-specific strength and conditioning program; excellent communication, organizational and administrative skills; and demonstrated experience working effectively in a diverse environment. A minimum of five years experience working in a collegiate or professional setting is preferred. Master's degree and Head Strength and Conditioning experience preferred.

Salary: Commensurate.

Terms of Employment: Full-time, 12-month appointment; starting date is negotiable.
