Melissa Dixon sank eight 3-point field goals and finished with 27 points as the University of Iowa women's basketball team defeated Minnesota on Sunday and finished 16-0 at home this season. The Hawkeye men's team guns for its fifth straight win Tuesday at Indiana.

Samantha Logic scored 20 points with 10 rebounds and nine assists Feb. 26 during a win against Wisconsin. In men's, Aaron White has scored 47 points with 20 rebounds in the last two games.

Playing perhaps its best 40 minutes of the season Sunday, the University of Iowa men's basketball team dominated Nebraska, 74-46, and improved to 17-10 overall, 8-6 in the Big Ten. Senior forward Aaron White scored 18 points with 11 rebounds and moved to fifth on the UI all-time scoring list with 1,697 points.

The University of Iowa men's basketball team goes for a regular-season sweep of Nebraska on Sunday at 2 p.m. (CT) in Lincoln, Nebraska. The Hawkeyes (16-10 overall, 7-6 Big Ten) put Rutgers away in the first half Thursday and won, 81-47. Anthony Clemmons handed out seven assists with three steals.

Junior Blake Hickman has made the transition from thrower to pitcher. The Chicago native came to the University of Iowa as a catcher, now his 90-mile-an-hour fastball is being put to good use at starting pitcher. Hickman allowed an unearned run during the Hawkeyes' 4-2 win against St. Louis on Feb. 14.

UI head coach Tom Brands said the Hawkeyes intend to scrap like the seven other teams.

At 5-foot-5, University of Iowa freshman guard Whitney Jennings is dynamite. Through 23 games she is averaging 9.5 points and 2.7 assists per game.
