Allaf Still Alive at ITA Regionals

STILLWATER, Okla. — The University of Iowa men’s tennis team saw three student-athletes compete today at the ITA Regionals hosted by Oklahoma State University.
 
Redshirt freshman Kareem Allaf defeated Tulsa’s Chase Gordon, 6-2, 6-4, in round two of singles consolation. In round three, the Hawkeye beat Daniel Izadifar of UMKC, 6-2, 6-3.
 
Allaf will compete in semifinals consolation play on Sunday.
 
In the main draw junior Josh Silverstein lost in the Round of 16 to Julian Cash of Oklahoma State, 7-5, 6-1.
 
Sophomore Tony Leto fell, 6-1, 6-1, to Micah Klousia of Nebraska.
