HEAR FROM COACH SHYMANSKY
“Ohio State did a great job of battling on. I just kept reminding our team that our opponents are going to grit and grind. We are going to have to be ready for long rallies. We did a really good job on overall team balance tonight. Double-digit swings out of almost everybody, even our setter with nine attempts. This is the time of season where we really have to count on our teamwork, especially as we go on the road now for our last four matches. We are at Maryland, then at Ohio State, at Illinois, and at Nebraska, so the task gets taller for us, but we feel like we are one or two wins away now from getting in the NCAA tournament.

“A win on Senior Night was awesome for us. We got every senior in the match, and that’s hard to do sometimes. Taylin Alm did a nice job. Annika Olsen, as our libero, leads us with 20 digs. But we love our seniors. We are just counting on them to continue to lead us as we finish out the last two weeks of the regular season.”
