Hawkeyes Earn Individual and Team Academic Honors

IOWA CITY, Iowa — University of Iowa women’s tennis players Zoe Douglas, Carin Runefelt, and Aimee Tarun have been recognized by the International Tennis Association for their academic prowess in 2016-17.
 
38006Individual honors are awarded to letterwinners with a GPA of 3.50 or above. Tarun was named to the academic team for the second year in a row. She is the fifth Hawkeye in program history to earn honors in multiple seasons. Douglas and Runefelt are first-time honorees.
 
The UI women’s team was also named an ITA All-Academic Team for the third year in a row, and the eighth time in program history. To earn the team honor, all varsity letterwinners must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or above.
