Austin Named Big Ten Athlete of the Week

IOWA CITY, Iowa - University of Iowa junior Justin Austin was recognized Monday as the Big Ten Conference's Track Athlete of the Week. Austin earned a first place finish in the 60 meters (6.97) and the 200 meters (21.48) Friday at the Iowa Invitational. His 200 meter converted time (21.08) ranks second in the Big Ten and 13th nationally. This is his first indoor track and field weekly award of the season and the second of his career. Austin holds the school record in both events and is a 2011 All-American. The Hawkeyes will head to the Big Ten Indoor Championships in Lincoln, Neb., on Feb. 24-25.
