High School -- set school records in pole vault (15-1) and 300-meter hurdles (39.26)... unable to participate in track senior season due to injury... won pole vault (14-9) and 400 meters (51.1), and placed third in long jump (18-8) at 2009 conference meet... also won conference pole vault title freshman year (13-8) and placed second (14-6) as a sophomore... all-state as a junior and all-conference as a freshman... won regional pole vault title and sectional 300-meter hurdles title as a junior... also competed in cross country, basketball and swimming... Army National Guard Award winner in 2010... National Honor Society member....coaches were Todd Balmer and Al Eckert. Personal -- born July 3, 1991... parents are Al and Wendy Eckert... father competed in cross-country at Indiana University Southeast... undeclared engineering and art major.
