1993 -- named Big Ten men's track and field Athlete of the Year...University of Iowa Athlete of the Year and nomine for the Big Ten-Jesse Owens Athlete of the Year...indoors -- an all-American with a fourth-place finish in the long jump at NCAA Championships...won Big Ten long jump title with a 26-5 effort...placed first at Iowa Invite...outdoors -- all-American in long jump and 400-meters...finished second in 400-meters (45.04) in a photo-finish and placed sixth in long jump (26 ¼) at NCAA Championships...also qualified for the NCAA meet in 200-meters...Big Ten champion in long jump (25-9 ½) and 400-meteres (45.91), placed third in 200-meters (20.87)...set meet record in long jump (27-1) and won 400-meters title at Drake Relays in an Iowa school record time (44.99)...jump at Drake eclipsed his own Iowa mark of 26-5 ½...named Drake Relay's Outstanding Male Athlete...team's top performer in 100-meters (10.47)...also anchored Iowa's 4x100 and 4x400 relays throughout the season.

1992 -- indoors -- earned all-American honors after third-place finish at the NCAA Championships in the long jump (26 feet)...his best leap was at the Big Ten championships, where he ripped off a 26-5 ½ jump, the second best performance in the nation that year...the jump was also good enough for the league title...broke his own school record, which had been 25-7 ½...also broke his own school record in the 200-meter dash, running a 21.34 in the pre-lims at the Big Ten meet, finishing third in the finals with a 21.52...qualified for the NCAA meet in the 200 but did not compete...set Central Collegiate Conference meet record in the long jump with a 25-10 effort...won long jump in double-dual vs. Minnesota and UNI (26-1 ¾)...member of 4x400 relay squad that qualified for the NCAA meet...outdoors -- earned all-American honors by finishing eighth at the NCAA meet in the 400-meters (45.87)...placed third in the 400-meters (45.79) at Big Ten meet, which qualified him for the NCAA meet and the Olympic trials...also placed fourth in 200-meters (21.00) and was a member of 4x100 meter relay team that placed fourth (3:09.62)...his 400 dash time (45.04) at the Indiana Invite is fifth-best all-time in Big Ten history and was also a meet and school record, along with being an NCAA qualifying time...injury at All-Comers meet limited his long jumping competition during the season...voted MVP, outstanding sprinter, and outstanding field events performer at team's annual awards banquet.

1991 -- long jump effort of 25-7 ½ met the provisional NCAA standards both indoor and outdoor...competed at outdoor NCAA meet in the 400...second in long jump (24-11 ¾) at indoor Big Ten meet...first in long jump (24-10) vs. UNI and Minnesota indoors...fifth in long jump (23-8) in Big Ten meet outdoors...also first in 400 (45.76), Iowa's lone champion...second in 400 (46.93) at outdoor USC Invite...third in long jump (25-0) at Drake Relays...first in 200 (21.76) vs. UNI outdoors...second in 100 (10.8) and first in 200 (21.4) at outdoor Iowa State Invitational...finished seventh in Big Ten indoor Athlete-of-the-Year and fourth in Freshman-of-the-Year voting...first in 400 at indoor Big Ten Championships (47.55)...first in 200 at indoor Minnesota Invitational (21.80), setting school record...second in both 400 (47.25) and long jump (24-8 ¼) at indoor Central Collegiates...ran 47.1 leg on 4x400 relay that was third at Drake Relays.

High School -- nation's second-rated 400 time (46.32) and was third-rated long jumper (25-8 ½) at Georgetown...other personal bests include 10.6 in 100 and 21.2 in 200...named Athlete-of-the-Year in his high school and in South Carolina...Athlete-of-the-Meet in Wendy's Invitational (TN) and Coaches' Classic Invite...coach was Freddie Young.
