Outdoor - placed second in hammer throw with a season-beset 185-11 (56.68m) at Iowa Invite... competed in hammer throw at NCAA West Regional (41st, 177-3, 54.04m)... placed second in hammer at Tiger Track Classic (183-8, 55.99)... placed third in hammer at Lee Calhoun Memorial (171-4, 52.22m)... letterwinner.

High School -- two-time Nike All-American, placing sixth in weight throw indoors and fourth in hammer throw outdoors... placed second in shot put (58-0) and sixth in discus (165-8) at state meet senior year... two-time conference shot put champion, earning all-state and all-conference honors twice... team captain as a senior... set school record in shot put (60-4)... other best marks were 178-4 in discus, 218-4 in 12-pound hammer throw, 197-4 in 6-kilogram hammer throw and 67-10 in 25-pound weight throw... lettered four years in track and three in football... named football team captain, earning all-conference honors... academic all-state honorable mention, academic all-conference and National Honor Society member... coached by Larry Williams, Wil Fleming, Ryan Ketchum and Doug Ballard.
