    AMES, Iowa - The University of Iowa track and field team captured six titles at the Iowa State Qualifier on Saturday. The Iowa State Qualifier was held in the Lied Recreational Center in Ames, Iowa. No team scores were kept at the event.

    Josh Larney grabbed titles in the 60 meters and the long jump. The senior's long jump leap of 24-3 (7.39m) earned him a first-place finish. Larney recorded a personal-best time in the 60-meter prelims when he crossed the line in 6.74. That time ranks third all-time at Iowa. He clocked a time of 6.75 in the finals to win the event. Tevin-Cee Mincy also competed in the 60. The sophomore finished third with a time of 6.82.

    Sophomore Khanishah Williams took the women's high jump title. Williams recorded a personal-best jump of 5-11 ¼ (1.81m). That mark ranks third all-time at Iowa.

    Ethan Holmes took the men's 200 meters title. The senior crossed the line in 21.27. Holmes also competed in the 60-meter hurdles. He clocked a personal best time of 7.82 in the prelims. That time ranks second all-time at Iowa. Holmes went on to finish second in the finals with a time of 7.84. Freshman Mitch Wolff also competed in the event. Wolff clocked a hurdles time of 8.96 to finish tenth.

    Senior Ryan Weir captured the men's 800 meters title. Weir recorded a personal best time of 1:49.11. That time ranks second all-time at Iowa. Nathan Prom finished second in the event. The junior clocked a time of 1:50.91.

    Klyvens Delaunay earned a first-place finish in the men's triple jump. The freshman recorded a leap of 51-2 ¾ (15.61m).

    Freshman Kaitlyn Nelson and junior Adrianne Alexia finished fourth and fifth, respectively, in the women's 800 meters. Nelson crossed the line in a personal best time of 2:09.58, while Alexia recorded a time of 2:13.65. Nelson's personal-best time ranks sixth all-time at Iowa.

    The NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships will be held in Fayetteville, Ark., on March 8-9.
