2010 Big Ten All-Freshman Team

2010 Honors - Named to the Big Ten all-Freshman team as a DH. 2010 - Appeared in 47 games with 19 starts... all 19 starts were at DH... his 19 starts were the most of any Hawkeye freshman... had the fifth-highest batting average on the team (.310)... started 12 league contests... hit .362 in Big Ten play, the fifth highest... appeared in 28 games off the bench, a team high... ranked fourth on the team in on base percentage (.394)... in conference play he led all Iowa freshman in: at bats (47), runs scored (4), hits (17), doubles (3), slugging percentage (.426) and sacrifice flies (2)... recorded six multi-hit games... collected two multi-RBI contests... longest hit streak was five games... recorded first hit as a Hawkeye against Villanova (Feb. 28)... laced first double as a pinch hitter against Creighton (Apr. 28), going 1-for-1 with an RBI... collected three hits in a perfect 3-for-3 game against Purdue (May 22).
