    IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Due to overnight thunderstorms and the projected forecast at game time, the University of Iowa baseball team's Wednesday series finale against Kansas has been canceled.

    The Jayhawks won the first game of the scheduled two-game series, 8-3, last night at Duane Banks Field.

    The Hawkeyes return to action Friday, hosting Kansas State at Duane Banks Field. First pitch is scheduled for 6:05 p.m. (CT), and the game will be streamed on BTN.com.
