IOWA CITY, Iowa -- The University of Iowa baseball team travels to Creighton Tuesday. The Hawkeyes face the Bluejays at 12:05 p.m. at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha, Neb. The mid-week contest marks Iowa's final road game.

Iowa (20-26, 8-13) won 1-of-3 games at Michigan State over the weekend. After dropping the opener Friday night, 6-0, freshman Sasha Kuebel and the Hawkeyes downed the Spartans on Saturday in the middle game of the series, 2-1. Kuebel took a no-decision while notching another quality start. The freshman (5-0) tossed seven and a third innings, allowing one run while scattering six hits. He struck out two and did not allow a walk. Senior Nick Brown and freshman Taylor Kaufman silenced the Spartan bats the final inning and two thirds. Kaufman pitched the final inning and a third and registered his third career win, improving to 3-0. Michigan State captured the rubber match on Sunday, 7-3.

Creighton is coached by Ed Servais. He is in his ninth season at the helm of the program. The Bluejays are 21-25 overall and 5-12 in MVC play. Creighton, 12-11 at home this season, dropped 2-of-3 to Dallas Baptist last weekend in Omaha.

Iowa head coach Jack Dahm spent 18 years as a member of the Creighton Bluejays baseball program. He left the Bluejays as the second winningest coach in school history behind Jim Hendry, having compiled 283 wins against 276 losses in 10 seasons as head coach. Dahm also played at Creighton (1986-89) and served as an assistant coach before taking over as head coach.

Tuesday's contest marks the first game between Creighton and Iowa this season. The two were scheduled to play on April 14 at TD Ameritrade Park, but the game was cancelled due to inclement weather. Iowa is 11-12 all-time against Creighton. The Bluejays won last year's match-up, 5-3, in Iowa City.

The Hawkeyes are 1-0 at TD Ameritrade Park this year, defeating South Dakota State on April 14, 6-1. TD Ameritrade Park is the home of the College World Series.

Iowa closes the regular season when it hosts No. 14 Purdue (39-10, 16-5) in a three-game set beginning Thursday at Duane Banks Field. Game one first pitch is scheduled for 6:05 p.m. The Hawkeyes and Boilermakers, the regular season Big Ten champions, will also play at 6:35 p.m. on Friday and at 1:05 p.m. on Saturday. Friday's game will be televised live by BTN.
