THE STAFFStaff continuity leads to success in the University of Iowa baseball program.
UI head coach Jack Dahm is entering his ninth season with the Hawkeyes and in each of the first eight years, assistant coach Ryan Brownlee has been by his side. The duo have guided Iowa to 30 or more wins in two of the last five seasons and led the Hawkeyes to a runner-up finish at the Big Ten Tournament in 2010 -- the highest finish for the program since 1983. One of Dahm's former players, Chris Maliszewski, serves as pitching coach. The up-and-coming assistant, who is entering his fourth year in the full-time capacity, has had six pitchers drafted in the Major League Baseball Draft the past two seasons. Brian Miller serves as volunteer assistant coach, and former Hawkeye Dusty Napoleon serves as undergraduate assistant coach. Both are in their first seasons.
