1985 Season: Winner of Roy J. Carver MVP Award along with 12 other seniors...also co-winner of the Forest Evashevski Scholastic Achievement Award...played in the Japan Bowl...honorable mention all-America by AP and academic all-Big Ten...led the team with 901 receiving yards and second on the squad with 56 catches...second team all-Big Ten wide receiver by AP and UPI...tied for 30th in NCAA receiving stats and fifth in the Big Ten...fifth in conference punt return stats with a 3.3-yard average...set a school record with eight TD receptions...broke Iowa and Kinnick Stadium record with 207 receiving yards vs. Northern Illinois...season-high nine catches vs. the Huskies when he was UPI Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week...tied school record with TD receptions vs. NIU and at Northwestern...also had nine catches vs. Michigan (107 yards)...went over 100 yards receiving (117) at Northwestern with three TDs...other big games against: UCLA in the Rose Bowl (six catches for 89 yards), Michigan State (5-81), Wisconsin (6-59), Illinois (4-58) and Minnesota (4-72)...made district all-academic team by GTE...Iowa's top punt returner with a 5.9 average on 19 returns...made catches in every game except Iowa State, which broke a 15-game streak in which he caught at least one pass.

1984 Season: Honorable mention all-Big Ten by AP...member of the Big Ten's all-academic team...the Hawkeyes' leading receiver with 47 catches for 632 yards (13.4 average) and three TDs...caught at least one pass in every game...ended up as the 10th leading receiver in the conference...biggest days vs. Texas in the Freedom Bowl, Ohio State, Indiana and Michigan...grabbed eight passes (104 yards) vs. the Longhorns, seven passes vs. the Buckeyes (95) and Hoosiers (92) and six against the Wolverines (74)...returned four punts at Minnesota for 119 yards including a school-record 95 yarder for a TD...the old school mark was 94 yards by Bob Longley (1949)...was the Hawkeyes' offensive MVP vs. Northwestern and Indiana and the special team MVP at Minnesota...had scoring catches vs. Iowa State (15 yards), Indiana (16) and Texas (33).

1983 Season: Backup to all-America pick Dave Moritz...made eight catches (17.1 average) including a 53 yarder vs. Northwestern...caught two passes for 30 yards at game was five receptions (54 yards) in the last regular season game vs. Minnesota.

1982 Season: Played sparingly and had one reception for 15 yards.

High School: First-team all-state in football in 1981...all-Mississippi Valley Conference and all-city in both football (1980 and 1981) and basketball (1981) and basketball captain...holds Washington records for receptions, receiving yards and TD receptions in a season and career.

Personal: Born December 17, 1963, in Cedar Rapids...father, Bill, was a halfback for Iowa and played on Iowa's 1956 Rose Bowl Bob was a walk-on defensive back at major.
