1985 Season: Big Ten's Offensive Lineman of the Year...one of 13 seniors selected team MVP...Honorable mention all-America by AP and UPI...first team all-Big Ten by AP and UPI...mainstay on the offensive front...second straight season as a starter at tackle although he played some guard late in the year...offensive MVP for Michigan State as selected by the coaching staff.

1984 Season: Picked to APs first team all-Big Ten squad...bothered by injuries all season, but still competed every game...Iowa's most consistent lineman...Iowa's offensive MVP vs. Ohio State and Michigan.
