Justin Lima is in his third year as an assistant strength and conditioning coach with the University of Iowa football program.
Iowa has participated in January bowl games the past two seasons, including the 2014 Outback Bowl and the 2015 TaxSlayer Bowl.
Lima joined the Iowa staff from the University of Maryland, where he worked with the Terrapin football team for two seasons, assisting the Terrapins to a bowl eligible season his final year.
Lima is a strength and conditioning coach (SCCC) certified through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association, and a Level 1 Exercise Nutrition Coach (Pn1) through Precision Nutrition.
Lima attended Bridgewater State University, where he played offensive line for four years. Justin earned his bachelor's degree in criminal justice and master's degree in Strength and Conditioning, both from Bridgewater State.
While working on his master's degree he served internships at Harvard University and the University of Iowa. Lima worked with the Hawkeye football program in the summer of 2012.
Lima was born May 23, 1987, and is a native of Mashpee, Massachusetts. He resides in Coralville.
