INDIANAPOLIS -- A pair of Iowa Hawkeyes will be playing in the Super Bowl XLI as members of the American Football Conference champion Indianapolis Colts.

Safety Bob Sanders and tight end Dallas Clark - two of the most heralded Hawkeyes in the Kirk Ferentz era of football at the University of Iowa - will take the field against the NFC champion Chicago Bears in two weeks in Miami.

Sanders - the heart and soul of the Indianapolis defense - broke up a third-and-four pass by New England's Tom Brady that forced the Patriots to punt late in the fourth quarter. Seven plays and 80 yards later, the Colts found paydirt and claimed a 38-34 victory. He was credited with six tackles.

Clark, a walk-on at Iowa who was named a first-team All-American his senior season for the Hawkeyes, was Payton Manning's favorite target on Sunday in Indianpolis' RCA Dome. He finished the contest with a game-high six receptions for 137 yards. His 52-yard reception midway through the fourth quarter helped set up Adam Vinatieri's 36-yard field goal that tied the game at 31-all.
