CORALVILLE, Iowa-- The Iowa City/Coralville Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB), The University of Iowa Athletics Department, and the City of Coralville are pleased to announce two of the bands for the outdoor concert at the inaugural FRYfest in the Iowa River Landing, Coralville, IA on Sept. 4.

The Charlie Daniels Band will headline the 2009 festival that pays tribute to "all that is Hawkeye." They will be preceded by The Outlaws, and a two-time CMA Nominee to be announced June 1. The southern rock flavor of this years' lineup is in tribute to former Iowa football coach, Hayden Fry's southern roots.

Fry -- the winningest football coach in UI history and a member of several halls of fame including the UI's -- will be recognized in this inaugural year and the annual festival, which will occur on the Friday before each season's first home football game, is named in his honor.

Tickets for the concert will be $10.00 and are on sale now at FRYfest. All proceeds will benefit the annual Coralville 4th Fest celebrations.
