IOWA CITY, Iowa -- When his coaching tenure is complete, don't be surprised if Kirk Ferentz is a consultant somewhere. But that won't be for quite some time, the University of Iowa head football coach told SI.com.

"Hopefully I have a lot of good years ahead of me," Ferentz said.

During the 11-minute, 20-second interview, Ferentz talks about Iowa's no-huddle offense, the progress of quarterback James Vandenberg and running back Marcus Coker, learning from coaching legends Bill Belichick, Hayden Fry and Ted Marchibroda, and what it took for former Hawkeyes to succeed in the NFL.

And of course, his thoughts on the upcoming game against Penn State in State College, Pa.

"It's tough to defend against good players and Penn State has a lot of them," Ferentz said.

The interview with Ferentz, conducted by news anchor Maggie Gray, is part of a college football series tour by SI.com called Just Askin'.
