    IOWA CITY, Iowa -- The University of Iowa football program is tied for ninth in the nation with 25 former players on active NFL rosters. In addition, nine other Hawkeyes reside on practice squads or injured reserve.

    Iowa ties Michigan for second in the Big Ten amongst NFL alumni on active rosters. Ohio State leads the way with 35. Iowa has five former tight ends in the league, which equals USC and Stanford for the most.

    The NFL continued regular season action over the weekend with its sixth week of games. A number of former Hawkeyes saw action and had success for their respective teams.

    Pat Angerer - LB - Indianapolis Colts: Angerer, the leading tackler for the Colts in 2011, has missed the first five games of the regular season after suffering a foot injury in Indianapolis' preseason opener.

    Jonathan Babineaux - DL - Atlanta Falcons: Babineaux started his 66th-consecutive game for the Falcons at defensive tackle on Sunday, recording five solo stops, three tackles for loss and a forced fumble. He leads Atlanta with five tackles for loss this year.

    Christian Ballard - DL - Minnesota Vikings: Ballard, one of a Big Ten-best six Hawkeyes drafted in 2011, saw action but recorded no statistics in Minnesota's loss at Washington. The defensive tackle played in all 16 games, with two starts, a year ago. He has played in all six games this season.

    Jordan Bernstine - DB - Washington Redskins: Bernstine was moved to the Redskins' injured reserve list after an injury in the season opener.

    Bryan Bulaga - OL - Green Bay Packers: Bulaga, in his third season with the Packers, made his 30th career start on Sunday as Green Bay won at Houston, 42-24.

    Scott Chandler - TE - Buffalo Bills: Chandler caught one pass for four yards on Sunday in the Bills win at Arizona. He is tied for fifth in the NFL with four touchdown catches this season.

    Dallas Clark - TE - Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Saw action but recorded no statistics for the Buccaneers in their win over Kansas City.

    Adrian Clayborn - DL - Tampa Bay Buccaneers: In his second year in the league, Clayborn is on the Buccaneers' injured reserve list. The former Iowa All-American started all 19 games in his career for Tampa Bay prior to the injury. Clayborn registered 7.5 sacks during his rookie campaign in 2011.

    Sean Considine - DB - Baltimore Ravens: Recorded a solo tackle in Baltimore's win against Dallas.

    Mike Daniels - DL - Green Bay Packers: Registered two solo tackles in Green Bay's 42-24 win at Houston.

    A.J. Edds - LB - Indianapolis Colts: In his third year in the league, Edds is on the Colts' injured reserve list.

    Bradley Fletcher - DB - St. Louis Rams: Fletcher turned in one pass defended in the Rams loss to Miami.

    Adam Gettis - OL - Washington Redskins: Listed as second team right guard for the Redskins.

    Charles Godfrey - DB - Carolina Panthers: Godfrey and the Panthers had a bye. Godfrey became the first rookie in team history to start all 16 games at safety in 2008. He has started 62 of the last 63 games for the Panthers.

    Shonn Greene - RB - New York Jets: Greene had a huge week for the Jets in their win over the Colts, leading the league with 161 yards on 32 attempts to go along with three touchdowns. The former All-American and 2008 Doak Walker Award Winner has started 20 of the last 22 contests. He ranks fifth in the NFL with four rushing scores this season.     Chad Greenway - LB - Minnesota Vikings: Greenway turned in seven tackles, including three solo stops, in the Vikings loss at Washington. The former Iowa All-American ranks first in the league with 61 total tackles this season.

    Brad Herman - TE - New England Patriots: In his first year in the league, Herman is on the Patriots' injured reserve list.

    Nate Kaeding - K - San Diego Chargers: Kaeding, the NFL's all-time most accurate field goal kicker (.870), and the Chargers play Denver tonight on Monday Night Football (ESPN, 7:30 p.m. CT).

    Karl Klug - DL - Tennessee Titans: Recorded no stats in win over Pittsburgh. Klug has appeared in all 22 games for Tennessee during his first two seasons, making one start in each. As a rookie in 2011, Klug compiled a team-high seven sacks. The total tied for sixth place in sacks among all NFL rookies, tied for fourth among all NFL defensive tackles, and led all NFL rookie defensive tackles.

    Bryan Mattison - OL - Kansas City Chiefs: Mattison is listed as the second team center for the Chiefs.

    Marvin McNutt - WR - Philadelphia Eagles: In his first year in the league, McNutt is a member of the Eagles practice squad.

    Tony Moeaki - TE - Kansas City Chiefs: Moeaki caught one pass for 18 yards in the Chiefs loss at Tampa Bay. He has started five of six games this season, and 20 of 21 in his career.

    Brandon Myers - TE - Oakland Raiders: Myers hauled in five receptions for 62 yards in the Raiders loss at Atlanta. He leads Oakland in catches (21) and receiving yards (290) this season.

    Seth Olsen - OL - Indianapolis Colts: After starting the first three games of the season for Indianapolis, Olsen has been placed on the team's injured reserve list.

    Shaun Prater - DB - Cincinnati Bengals: In his first year in the league, Prater is on the Bengals' injured reserve list.

    Riley Reiff - OL - Detroit Lions: Reiff saw action in win at Philadelphia. Reiff has played in all five games for Detroit this season, with one start. He was Detroit's first round pick in 2012, marking the third-straight season an Iowa player was selected in the first round of the NFL Draft.

    Allen Reisner - TE - Minnesota Vikings: Reisner is currently on the Vikings practice squad. He played in Minnesota's first three games this season.

    Tyler Sash - DB - New York Giants: Notched one solo stop in New York's win at San Francisco on Sunday. Sash won a super bowl ring during his rookie season with the Giants in 2011.

    Amari Spievey - DB - Detroit Lions: Spievey made his first start of the season for Detroit in its overtime win at Philadelphia. He ranked third on the team with seven tackles, including six solo stops.

    Ricky Stanzi - QB - Kansas City Chiefs: Did not see action for the Chiefs.

    Jeff Tarpinian - LB - New England Patriots: Tarpinian is a current member of New England's practice squad. He appeared in seven games for the Patriots in 2011.

    Julian Vandervelde - OL - Philadelphia Eagles: Vandervelde is a member of the Eagles practice squad. He spent the 2011 season with Philadelphia.

    Marshal Yanda - OL - Baltimore Ravens: Yanda made his 64th career start for Baltimore in its win against Dallas on Sunday. He has started every game the last three seasons.

    Markus Zusevics - OL - New England Patriots: In his first year in the league, Zusevics is on the Patriots' injured reserve list.
