ANF Food Drive Set for Saturday
Oct. 24, 2013
We're asking fans attending Saturday's ANF Game against the Northwestern Wildcats at historic Kinnick Stadium to bring one non-perishable food item to the support the United Way of Johnson County and the Iowa Food Bank Association.
Food pantries across the state today face critical shortages, with more than 13 percent of Iowans having trouble putting three square meals on the family table.
Fans will have the choice of four "ANF Food Drive" U-Haul trucks in or near select parking lots near Kinnick Stadium to drop off their donation and a fifth inside the Krause Family Plaza adjacent to the ANF Legends Tent.
PLEASE NOTE: There will be no collection containers at the entrances of Kinnick Stadium, so fans should not bring their donation with them when they plan to enter the stadium for the game.
The drop-off locations will begin accepting donations at 6 a.m., Saturday, when the parking lots open for fans attending the Hawkeyes' game against Big Ten Conference rival Northwestern. Each drop-off location will be near the entrance to the respective parking lot and will be plainly marked with a large iconic ANF circle logo and the words "FOOD DRIVE HERE":
ANF Game Day activities start at 8 a.m. at the ANF Legends Tent with autographs of former Hawkeye/NFL greats starting at 8:30 a.m. Fans will also have the chance to interact with Iowa farmers and win great prizes. For a complete listing of ANF activities, click HERE.
