Live From Tampa...it's the Iowa Hawkeyes!

IOWA CITY, Iowa - Fans of the University of Iowa football team traveling to Tampa for the 2009 Outback Bowl - and those not treking to Iowa's fifth New Year's Day bowl game in seven years - should mark 6 p.m. (Iowa time) on Monday, Dec. 29 on their calendars. That is the time and day of the Hawkeye Radio Network's Hy-Vee Hawkeye Outback Bowl Special featuring the voice of the Hawkeyes, Gary Dolphin, and a host of special guests.
The 90-minute look at the Hawkeyes' date with South Carolina of the Southeastern Conference will be broadcast live from Stumps Supper Club in Channelside Bay Plaza. The special is being presented by Hy-Vee with the support of Palmero's Pizza, Sara Lee, Wells Blue Bunny, Frito Lay and Midwest Heritage Bank.
This special is part of a busy week of live radio covderage about the Hawkeyes originating from the Sunshine State. Please note: All times listed here are local to Tampa (Eastern time).

"Obviously, we're delighted with the opportunity to provide fans of the Hawkeyes who aren't in Tampa with the team a chance to be a part of the fun and excitement of another New Year's Day bowl game for the UI," said Rick Klatt, the UI's associate athletics director for external affairs.
Fans of the Iowa Hawkeyes who live in the Heartland or in the Sunshine State or in all points between should note that the UI Athletics Ticket Office is still accepting ticket orders for the 2009 Outback Bowl.
