On behalf of Coach Kirk Ferentz and the 2009 University of Iowa football team, I am pleased to invite you to "Go Bowling" with the Iowa Hawkeyes!
Our exact destination will likely not be officially determined until after teams are officially invited to participate in this year's Bowl Championship Series events. Those invitations will be officially extended the weekend of the Dec. 5-6. As in the past, as soon as the schedule of BCS games is complete, the Big Ten Conference and its bowl partners will officially announce the participants in its games, and that schedule will be shared with our local media and on hawkeyesports.com, the official world wide web site of the Iowa Hawkeyes.
The UI Athletics Ticket Office will begin accepting orders ONLINE for tickets to the bowl games that are likely possibilities for the Iowa Hawkeyes on Thursday, Nov. 19. In order to retain your UI Athletic Department ticket priority, your 2009-10 bowl game order MUST BE RECEIVED by the ticket office by Friday, Dec. 4.
Paper applications will be mailed to all public and staff season ticket holders, as well as all National I-Club members and will arrive early next week. Please contact the UI Athletics Ticket Office via email at tickets@hawkeyesports.com if you believe you should have received one and did not. Current UI students who are season ticket holders will be contacted by e-mail.
As always, we strongly encourage you to order your bowl game tickets online from the UI Athletics Ticket Office at hawkeyesports.com using your existing online ticket office account - please do not set up a new account for yourself when making this order. Your priority is only assigned to your existing ticket office account number that is printed on your mailing label. If you do not have an online account with the UI Athletics Ticket Office, please contact us via email at tickets@hawkeyesports.com for information regarding setting up your account online.
Purchases made through the UI Athletics Ticket Office helps the UI Athletics Department meet its financial obligation to the bowl game. You are also guaranteed seat locations in the stadium that are next to other friends and fans of the Iowa Hawkeyes. Hawkeye fans will be seated in blocks together at the bowls.
Finally, we want to thank you for your outstanding support of the Iowa Hawkeyes this season. As always, our fans were difference-makers in our games at Kinnick Stadium and on the road, and will certainly add tremendously to the atmosphere on game day at the bowl site.
Go Hawks!
