Assistant Coach

Adam Kaufman is in his first year as Iowa's assistant golf coach. He has been with the team since August, 2006.

Kaufman officially joined the Hawkeyes after working as an Assistant Golf Professional at Finkbine Golf Course since May, 2001. As an assistant golf professional, Kaufman taught private lessons and junior clinics, organized the University of Iowa Faculty Golf league and managed the general operation of the Finkbine facility. During the winter months, Kaufman traveled to southern California where he was an outside service attendant at La Quinta Resort.

Along with his work as a coach, Kaufman has also golfed professionally. He played part-time on the Dakotas Tour, the Moonlight Tour and the Tarheel Tour.

In his spare time, Kaufman enjoys being outdoors, playing sports and helping his father on the family's farm. He is also a volunteer coach and referee for youth basketball at the North Dodge Athletic Club.

Kaufman was born on April 12, 1979, and attended Highland High School. He graduated from Cornell College in Mt. Vernon, IA, in 2001 with degrees in business and physical education. While at Cornell College, Kaufman was a four-year letterwinner in basketball and golf.
