***Updated scores of the Kepler Invitation April 11-12***
COLUMBUS, OH - Due to a corrected scorecard turned in by Hawkeye senior Cole Peevler, the Hawkeyes' third round score of 299 improved their three-round total to 918, which tied them with Eastern Michigan for seventh place at the 40th annual Robert Kepler Invitational.
Iowa's Sunday score of 299 (+15) was the fourth-best round of the day. Northwestern led the final two rounds to take the 13-team competition with a 54-hole score of 892 (+40). The invitational was held on the Scarlet Course at the Ohio State Golf Club in Columbus, OH.
The Hawkeyes were led by sophomore Vince India who carded a 224 (+11) and finished in a tie for 11th. Freshman Brad George and sophomore Brad Hopfinger both carded solid rounds today to finished in a tie for 36th with a score of 233 (+20). Freshman Barrett Kelpin shot a 234 (+21) to finish tied at 39th. Additionally, Peevler shot a 76 in the final round to boost him into a tie for 48th with a score of 236 (+23).
The Hawkeyes will see competition again at the Boilermaker Invitational in West Lafayette, IN, April 18-19.
