LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- University of Iowa senior Steven Ihm posted rounds of 68 (-4) and 74 (+2) in the first two rounds of play at the Windon Memorial Classic in Lake Forest, Ill., on Sunday, putting him in a tie for ninth place.

The Hawkeyes shot a 293 (+5) in the first round, tying for the ninth-best team total. They fell to 11th after their second round score of 297 (+9).

Senior Ryan Marks carded back-to-back rounds of 74 (+2) and is currently tied for 37th place. Junior Brian Bullington shot 76 (+4) in the first round, and improved his score to a 74 (+2) in the second, putting him in a tie for 46th place.

Sophomore Voramate Aussarassakorn shot a 151 (+7) with scores of 75 (+3) and 76 (+4) and is tied for 52nd place. Junior Joseph Winslow holds a score of 152 (+10) after rounds of 77 (+5) and 75 (+3). He is currently tied for 58th place.

"I felt we had a decent start today," said UI head coach Mark Hankins. "As a team, we need to do a better job of minimizing our mistakes."

Iowa is currently 21 strokes behind leader Kent State, who shot rounds of 283 (-5) and 286 (-2) for a total of 569 (-7) on Sunday.

Chris O'Neill of Michigan holds sole possession of the lead after two rounds, posting a 139 (-5).

"It is only our second golf tournament of the year, but it's all about getting comfortable," said Hankins. "We'll dissect our rounds tonight and try to find our comfort zones for tomorrow."

The final round of the Windon Memorial Classic will begin Monday with tee times running from 8 a.m. (CT) to 10:06 a.m. Live stats are available at golfstat.com.
