The blue print to success is in place with Mark Hankins at the helm of the University of Iowa men's golf program.
In seven seasons with the Hawkeyes, Hankins has guided the program to unprecedented heights. Iowa has made six-straight NCAA Regional appearances, which includes a program-best 10th place showing at the 2011 NCAA Championships. Hankins is no stranger to postseason golf, as he led his teams to the NCAA's in seven of his nine years as the head coach at Michigan State and Texas-Arlington.
The Hawkeyes are 1-of-3 Big Ten programs to be selected for NCAA Regional competition in each of the last six years.
Former Hawkeye Dan Holterhaus is in his fourth year as an assistant coach. Holterhaus was a two-time team captain and lettered from 2003-08.
