CHAMPAIGN, IL - The University of Iowa men's gymnastics team fell to Illinois Saturday, 214.950-209.500.

Iowa won three events, pommel horse, vault and the all-around. On pommel horse, Jacob Becker took first, scoring 9.15, on vault, Geoff Reins finished first (9.35) and Jonathan Buese was first in the all-around. Reins also led the Hawkeyes on floor, placing second (9.4) . Dustin Cranmer tied for fourth in the event, scoring a 9.2.

On rings, Jacques Bouchard finished third, scoring 9.55. Jonathan Buese finished first in the all-around (50.950), second on horizontal bar (9.1) and fifth on rings (9.2).

Iowa will travel to Stanford, CA, to compete in a triangular meet with Stanford and Penn State March 10. The meet is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
