EVANSTON, IL - - The University of Iowa men's tennis team continued competition at the Wildcat Invitational Saturday. In addition, four Hawkeyes began play at the D'Novo/ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, OK.

Tommy McGeorge led the Hawkeyes at the ITA All-American Championships. After receiving a first round bye in the pre-qualifying bracket, the senior defeated Jonathan Obrist of Wichita State in the second round, 6-4, 6-2. He will face Leo Rosenberg of Hawaii at Manoa Sunday in the third round.

Will Vasos also claimed a singles victory at the All-American Championships. The sophomore defeated Fernando Ristow of Pacific 6-0, 6-3, to advance before falling in the second round. Nikita Zotov and newcomer Marc Bruche were defeated in the second round of competition after receiving first round byes.

The Black and Gold claimed three singles victories at the Wildcat Invite. Garret Dunn defeated Guilherme Marsiglia of Drake to claim his first career collegiate win. The freshman was victorious, 7-5, 6-4. No doubles competition was completed due to the inclement weather.

The Hawkeyes will continue competition at both the Wildcat Invite and the ITA All-American Championships tomorrow.
