THIS WEEK
The University of Iowa men's tennis team wraps up its fall season at the Big Ten Singles/Doubles tournament in Madison, Wisc., Friday through Monday.

LAST TIME OUT
The Hawkeyes found the most success in doubles play at the Northwestern Invitational in Evanston, Ill. On day one, doubles teams Joey White and Dominic Patrick, along with Andres Estenssoro and Chase Tomlins, both advanced in the doubles Flight A consolation bracket. Day two was more of the same as both doubles teams won their respective bracket with identical 9-7 victories to become co-consolation champions. Patrick also found success in singles play competing in Flight A, no small feat for a freshman. Patrick defeated Terence Weigand of Toledo 6-1, 6-1 to advance to the consolation final. Patrick wound up falling in defeat to Vukasin Teofanovic of Marquette 7-6, 1-6, (10-6).

CO-CONSOLATION CHAMPIONS
A pair of Iowa doubles teams wound up sharing the Flight A consolation title as both White/Patrick and Estenssoro/Tomlins won out their respective brackets in doubles Flight A consolation play. After both doubles teams fell in their opening match, both rebounded to win two in a row. White and Patrick first defeated Jorgensen and Wong of Toledo, 8-3 to advance while Estenssoro and Tomlins took down Wilson and Appanervanda of Illinios State, 8-6. In their final matches, White and Patrick beat Brocker and Wareti of Toledo, 9-7 while Estenssoro and Tomlins defeated Hernani and Skylr of Marquette 9-7.

TEAM STATISTICS
Currently, the Hawkeyes have a 24-39 record overall in singles play and a 11-13 record in doubles play. Jonas Dierckx, Andres Estenssoro, and Dominic Patrick lead the team in singles victories with five a piece while junior Joey White trails them with four. In doubles play, Chase Tomlins has been the most effective with a 6-3 record having paired up with both Joey White, Dominic Patrick, and Andres Estenssoro.

HEAD COACH Steve Houghton
Steve Houghton, the dean of Big Ten tennis coaches, is in his 32nd year as head coach of the Hawkeyes. He has compiled a career record of 332-363 (.478), recording the most wins of any coach in Iowa men's tennis history.

QUOTING HEAD COACH Steve Houghton
" The Big Ten Tournament is a great event. We've had success over the years with a couple of champs and a semi-finalist in Jonas Dierckx last year. It's our last event of the fall season and I'm looking for a good showing."
