The Dean of the Big Ten resides on the campus of the University of Iowa. A three-time Hawkeye letterwinner, Steve Houghton was named Iowa's head coach in 1982.

Steve Houghton is entering his 31st year as Iowa's head men's tennis coach.

He graduated from Iowa a Big Ten singles champion and with the second best career winning percentage in school history. In his 30 years as head coach, he has recorded more wins than any coach in Iowa men's tennis history.

Houghton is assisted by Steve Nash, a former NCAA tournament participant who enters his fourth year in a full-time capacity after serving previous stints as a volunteer assistant coach and strength and conditioning coach.
