High School -- four-time elite all-state and 11-time all-conference... placed second at state meet in 800 meters (1:52.90) and as part of 1,600-meter medley relay (3:29.25) senior year... also placed fourth in 800 meters at state as a junior (1:55.07) and sixth as a sophomore (1:55.68)... ran on state champion 3,200-meter relay as a freshman... that relay also won Drake Relays title his sophomore year... set school 800-meter record (1:52.45) while placing ninth at 2008 Nike Outdoor Nationals... won 800 meters (1:54.27) at Senior All-Star Meet... placed sixth at Iowa state pentathlon (2,966 points) as a junior... also competed in basketball and cross country... academic letterwinner... earned two IHSAA distinguished academic achievement awards... coaches were Clark Weaver, Tim Stamp, Ken Hopkins, Bob Read.
