Larry Wieczorek believes this year's team can be better than last year's conference champion

2008 -- Indoor - ran first leg on team-leading 1,600-meter relay (3:10.74)... ran lead leg on 1,600-meter relay that placed fourth at Big Ten Championships (3:15.12)... ran collegiate-best 600 meters (1:20.66) at Iowa Invite... Outdoor - ran lead leg on team-leading 1,600-meter relay (3:11.11) that placed seventh at Drake Relays... ran lead leg on 1,600-meter relay that placed fifth at Big Ten Championships (3:11.39)... ran collegiate-best 400 meters (47.47) at Big Ten Championships... letterwinner.

High School -- four-time conference champion and three-time runner-up... placed second in 400 (48.9) and 800 meters (1:56), and third in 100 and 200 meters at state meet senior year.
