BLOOMINGTON, IN - Several Hawkeyes recorded top 10 finishes and senior Adam Hamilton provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championships in the weight throw for the second time this season Friday at the 18-team Gladstein Invitational in Bloomington, IN.Three Hawkeyes recorded third-place finishes in the first day of the two-day co-ed meet, and sophomore Bobby Windauer is in third place in the heptathlon with 2,512 points after four events. Hamilton placed third in the weight throw with an NCAA provisionally qualifying toss of 64-1. Freshman Jesse Luciano ran a collegiate-best 4:11.91 for third place in the mile, and sophomore Tommy Tate placed third in the 3,000 meters (8:37.19). Saturday's events are scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. (CT) at the Gladstein Fieldhouse on the Indiana University campus.
