DALLAS, TX - Hawkeye junior 165-pounder Mark Perry lost a 3-1 decision to top-ranked Johny Hendricks of Oklahoma State Monday night at the NWCA All-Star Dual in Dallas, TX. Perry, who is ranked second in the country, was the only wrestler representing the Hawkeyes at the annual meet.

Hendricks scored a reversal midway through the second period to take a 2-0 lead. Perry recorded an escape with 30 seconds left in the match to make the score 2-1, but Hendricks added an extra point with riding time to win the match, 3-1. Perry is 0-4 in his career against Hendricks.

Perry will rejoin the Hawkeyes to open the 2006-07 dual meet season Tuesday night at Northern Iowa. The match will be held at 7 p.m. in the new McLeod Center in Cedar Falls.
