IOWA CITY, Iowa -- University of Iowa junior Nick Moore was named USA Wrestling Athlete of the Week following a pair of wins last week against Oklahoma State and Indiana.

Moore, then-ranked No. 5 at 165 pounds, used a takedown in the first sudden-victory period to defeat No. 2 Tyler Caldwell, 3-1, on Jan. 10. His win helped lead Iowa to a 24-6 victory over No. 5 Oklahoma State.

Moore finished the weekend with a 13-3 major decision over Indiana's Ryan LeBlanc on Jan. 12. He improved to 12-2 on the year, with two wins against top 6 opponents. He is now ranked No. 4 in the national rankings.

Iowa returns to the mat Saturday in Lincoln, Neb. The Hawkeyes and Huskers meet at 4:30 p.m. (CT) at the Devaney Center. The dual will be televised on BTN.
