Chuck Evans is in his fourth season on the Hawkeye women's basketball staff, serving as Iowa's Director of Basketball Operations.

Evans works closely with the Hawkeye basketball staff, helping coordinate and carry out the day-to-day activities of the program. He is responsible for arranging team travel, overseeing opponent tape exchange, coordinating complimentary admissions to games, supervising public service activities, coordinating summer camps and training tables, overseeing the budget and monitoring academics.

Evans was on the staff the last two years when the Iowa Hawkeyes posted back-to-back 21-11 overall records. Iowa won a share of the Big Ten regular season championship in 2008 and finished in a three-way tie for second in 2009. The Black and Gold boasted a 26-5 home record, advanced to the Big Ten Tournament semifinals and appeared in the NCAA Tournament the last two seasons.

A native Iowan, Evans was the Iowa City Regina High School Head Football Coach for six seasons (2001-06). He guided the Regals to the Class 1A state championship in 2005. In addition to serving as head football coach, he served as the school's Athletic Director for one year (2005-06).

Evans graduated from Iowa State University in 1979 with a bachelor's degree in industrial administration.

Evans and his wife, Sue, have two children Travis (34) and Tyler (30). The Evans' also have a granddaughter, Baylie Susan (3), the daughter of Tyler and his wife Alicia.
