IOWA CITY, Iowa -- University of Iowa head women's basketball coach Lisa Bluder will meet the media at 2:15 p.m. (CT) Wednesday to talk about the Hawkeyes' Thursday Big Ten opener against No. 24 Ohio State.
The weekly briefing with local, regional and national media will be held in the Media Room inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena, and be available live from start to finish on Hawkeye All-Access, the multimedia portal inside hawkeyesports.com, the official worldwide website of the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Thursday's game is slated to begin at 5:30 p.m. (CT) on Mediacom Court inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena. The contest will be televised live by the BTN.
Ohio State, ranked 24th in the USA Today Coaches Poll and receiving votes in the Associated Press poll, enters the game riding a four-game winning streak to push its record to 10-3 on the season. The Buckeyes are a perfect 9-0 on its home floor, but 1-2 in road contests.
The Hawkeyes, who are receiving votes in the coaches' poll, enter the matchup with an 11-3 overall record after downing No. 20 Texas and San Diego to win the San Diego Surf 'N Slam Classic. Iowa is 7-1 on Mediacom Court with its lone defeat coming on Nov. 18 against North Carolina.
