IOWA CITY, Iowa -- University of Iowa head women's basketball coach Lisa Bluder will meet the media at 11:30 a.m. (CT) Tuesday to talk about the Hawkeyes' upcoming Big Ten Conference game at Illinois on Jan. 31.
The weekly briefing with local, regional and national media will be held in the Media Room inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena, and be available live from start to finish on Hawkeye All-Access, the multimedia portal inside hawkeyesports.com, the official worldwide website of the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Illinois (10-8 overall, 3-3 Big Ten) plays at Minnesota on Monday, which is good news for the Illini. They are 3-0 in conference road games this season, with wins at Ohio State, Northwestern, and Nebraska.
Four Illinois players average double figures in points per game, led by Adrienne GodBold (19.0 points per game) and Karisma Penn (18.6).
The Hawkeyes (16-5, 5-2) cracked The Associated Press poll for the first time Monday, coming in at No. 24. They have won three games in a row and eight in a row against Illinois.
