IOWA CITY - Senior men's basketball player Adam Haluska and sophomore women's player Wendy Ausdemore have earned CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine District VII academic all-America recognition. He has been named to the District VII team for the third straight season and earned third team academic all-America honors as a junior. The Carroll, IA native has started every game this season and all 122 games in his career. Haluska is averaging 21 points and 4.5 rebounds while shooting 42.7% from the field and 88.8% from the free throw line.

Haluska has scored 33 and 34 points, respectively, in Iowa's two most recent wins over Indiana and Minnesota. He is the current Big Ten Player of the Week and he was also named the national Player of the Week by The Sporting News.
