This Crystal a Real Find For Houston
July 23, 2007 By Brian Martin, WNBA.com After being selected by Phoenix in the third round of the 2006 WNBA Draft, Crystal Smith was never able to crack into the Mercury's rotation during her rookie season. The 32nd overall pick averaged just 9 minutes and 2.7 points per game in 2006 and never suited up for Phoenix in 2007 as the Mercury waived Smith on May 18, just before the season got underway.
