IOWA CITY, IA - - The Big Ten Conference today named University of Iowa midfielder Sarah Drake Freshman of the Week for her play in Iowa's matches against No. 17 Massachusetts and Boston. It is Drake's first career Big Ten weekly honor and the first for the Hawkeyes this season.

Drake picked up the accolade with her play in Amherst, MA, over the weekend. Saturday, Drake recorded two goals as Iowa fell at No. 17 Massachusetts. The two goals were the first of her career. Sunday, she recorded a goal and her first career assist in leading the Hawkeyes to a 3-1 win over Boston University.

For the season, the Ann Arbor, MI, native leads the Black and Gold in goals (3) and points (7). The totals rank fourth and eighth, respectively, in the Big Ten. In addition, she is tied for the team lead in assists with one.
