IOWA CITY - Three Hawkeye field hockey players have earned national recognition. Junior Lauren Pfeiffer and sophomore Meghan Beamesderfer were named all-Americans by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) and WomensFieldHockey.com. Junior Roz Ellis joined Pfeiffer and Beamesderfer as a WomensFieldHockey.com's all-America honoree.

Pfeiffer, a native of Mt. Laurel, NJ, was a first team all-American by WomensFieldHockey.com and a second team selection by the NFHCA. During her career at Iowa, she has been a two time NFHCA Regional all-American ('06, '07), first team all-Big Ten selection ('07), two time all-Big Ten Tournament team member ('05, '06) and Big Ten Tournament Most Valuable Player ('06). This season, she led the team in goals (15), shots (93), points (38) and was second in assists (8).

Beamesderfer, a product of Lititz, PA, was a second team all-American by WomensFieldHockey.com and a third team pick by the NFHCA. During her first season with the Hawkeyes, she was an NFHCA Regional all-American and Big Ten Freshman of the Year. This season, she was selected as an NFHCA Regional all-American and a first-team all-Big Ten member. Beamesderfer scored one goal on a single shot along with an assist.

Ellis, a native of Lewisburg, PA, was a third team all-American by WomensFieldHockey.com. This season, she was named an NFHCA Regional all-American and first team all-Big Ten selection. Although Ellis is primarily a defender, she had an outstanding offensive season. She recorded career highs in goals (8), assists (3), shots (25) and points (19).
