IOWA CITY - University of Iowa field hockey coach Tracey Griesbaum has been named Division I Coach of the Year by WomensFieldHockey.com.

In her fifth season at the helm, Griesbaum guided the Hawkeyes to their 13th Big Ten Championship and a return to the NCAA Tournament. Iowa was 13-8 on the season and won 10 of its last 13 games. She named Big Ten Coach of the Year after leading Iowa to a 5-1 conference mark.

Three other Hawkeyes were honored by WomensFieldHockey.com. Senior Sarah Dawson was named first team all-American, while classmate Barb Weinberg was a second team all-American. Freshman Caroline Blaum was named to the all-Rookie team
