Three members of the University of Iowa women's golf team are set to compete at the 21st annual Saluki Invitational in Carbondale, Illinois. The two day event begins Sunday.
Shelby Phillips became the latest name penciled into the Hawkeye record book with her third round efforts at the Mountain View Collegiate. The senior recorded a 68 (-4) in the final round in Tuscon, putting her name in the Iowa record books, tying Kristi Cardwell, Tyrette Metzendorf and most recently Jessie Sindlinger for the second-lowest 18-hole score all-time.
The University of Iowa women's golf team completed first and second round action at the Mountain View Collegiate on Friday, registering a two-round total of 592 (+16), posting rounds of 295 and 297.
The University of Iowa women's golf team concluded competition at the BYU Entrada Classic on Tuesday, finishing with a three round total of 897 (+33), including rounds of 299, 297 and 301. The Hawkeyes claimed sixth place in the field of 15.
Led by freshman Elisa Suarez the University of Iowa women's golf team concluded day one at the BYU Entrada Classic on Monday. The Hawkeyes registered a two round total of 596 (+20) including rounds of 299 and 297.
The University of Iowa women's golf team travels to St. George, Utah, to participate in the BYU Entrada Classic March 16-17. The 54-hole tournament, hosted by Brigham Young University, will be held at Entrada Golf Course. After completion of the BYU Entrada Classic the Hawkeyes will have a few days off before traveling to Tucson, Arizona, for the Mountain View Collegiate on March 20-21.
