BLOOMINGTON, IN -- The University of Iowa women's golf team is tied for 13th after playing the first round of the Indiana Invitational Monday. Iowa carded a 318 today at the par-72 Crooked Stick Golf Course. Michigan State leads the 17-team invitational with a score of 299. The tournament was cut to 36-holes due to weather.

Jill Marcum posted a 78 (+6) to tie for 30th. She leads Iowa after the first round. One stroke behind her is Melanie Boyles, who carded a 79 (+7) and is tied for 40th. Tied for 46th is Karla Murra who posted an eight-over par score of 80 after 18-holes. Tyrette Metzendorf carded an 81 to finish the day tied for 54th.

Iowa plays the final round of the Indiana Invitational Tuesday with a shotgun start beginning at 9 a.m. (CDT). Live stats are available through www.golfstat.com.
