IOWA CITY, Iowa -- The University of Iowa women's rowing team will hold a scrimmage against Minnesota Saturday on the Iowa River. Action is scheduled to start at 9 a.m.

Crews will begin at the Beckwith Boathouse and end at Crandic Park (northeast of the Wig and Pen) along Rocky Shore Drive in Iowa City. The best viewing areas for the scrimmage will be along Rocky Shore Drive and spectators can park near Crandic Park.

"We are excited to do pieces against Minnesota this weekend," UI rowing coach Mandi Kowal said. "Our river will provide a protected venue for the crews with little hassle. Rocky Shore Drive will be a great place to view numerous pieces. As a spectator, it will be fun to see the crews so close."
